We are Alessandro and Elisa, two proud Romans who moved to the Cairns area in 2015, bringing with us our love for Italian culture, traditional flavours and the passion for creating something special through food.
Rome is where our story began, and Italian tradition is at the heart of everything we do. Through our skills, experience and dedication, we want to share a little piece of our hometown with our new home in Queensland.
Elisa – The Art of Pastry and Cake Design
Elisa is a passionate pastry chef with years of experience and a genuine love for her craft. As a qualified cake designer, she combines creativity, skill and attention to detail to transform ideas into beautiful and delicious creations.
For Elisa, pastry and cake design are much more than a profession — they are a way to express creativity, celebrate special moments and bring people together through the pleasure of something made with love.
Every creation reflects her dedication, experience and passion for the art of pastry, combining the beauty of cake design with the flavours and traditions of Italian baking.
Alessandro – A Passion for Pizza and Baking
Alessandro’s love for baking comes from a deep appreciation for Italian food traditions and the craftsmanship behind authentic pizza.
He studied in Rome with the Associazione Pizzerie Italiane (API), where he obtained diplomas in Pizza Tonda (traditional round pizza) and Pizza in Teglia (tray-baked pizza). He subsequently earned a diploma as a pizza instructor, further developing his technical knowledge and passion for sharing the art of Italian pizza-making.
For Alessandro, baking is about respecting traditional techniques, understanding the craft and creating food that brings people together. His goal is to share the authentic flavours and passion for pizza that are such an important part of Roman culture.

Since moving to the Cairns area in 2015, we have continued to nurture our passion for Italian baking and pastry, combining our Roman heritage, professional experience and love for traditional flavours.
Roma Capoccia QLD represents our journey, our roots and our dream of sharing authentic Italian traditions with the Queensland community.
